Song-CAMP: BIO's

Walt Lofstrom - Founder and Director

Walt has been a musician all his life – he started out at a young age on accordion, then trombone, keyboards and guitar. A singer-songwriter, his huge passions are mentoring and music. Having retired from a 38-year career as a electrical engineer, Walt spent the majority of those years in the field of high-tech international electronics working with customers in marketing and sales. His engineering expertise allowed him to create his own recording studio. Over the span of his career, he spent nearly 2 decades mentoring children at outdoor summer camps in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As retirement approached, Walt attended night school and received a Master of Arts in Leadership. His engineering, sales, marketing, formal training and life experiences, together with his passion for mentoring children, have culminated into his creation - "Song-C.A.M.P.". Walt's life goal is to give back to the community to help foster children's self-esteem and education via the creative arts which are being so drastically reduced in the field of elementary education today.

Beginning her singing/songwriting from the heart as a young teenager, she has enriched and touched many lives.
